Carl Andrew Irace has practiced law since 2001 and has operated his East Hampton-based practice since January 2012. He has appeared in more than 22 jurisdictions, from the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit to the criminal courts of New York City and the courts of Suffolk County. His practice includes criminal defense (including DWI), building violations, land use and zoning, wills and estates, and real estate, and he completed the National College of DUI Defense Summer Session at Harvard Law School in 2014.
Before private practice, Carl served as Deputy Town Attorney for the Town of East Hampton and spent nearly nine years as an Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx, receiving a Distinguished Service Award in 2010. He is active in the community and has provided pro bono services to local organizations and indigent defense in Suffolk County. Carl is a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association and the Maritime Law Association of the United States, and he is admitted to practice in New York State and in the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
