About Eleanor Whitmore Early Childhood Center
Founded in 1969 as a Head Start organization, the Eleanor Whitmore Early Childhood Center is the only licensed, non-profit childcare center providing both affordable all-day childcare (our fees are among the lowest on Long Island) and high-quality early childhood education on the East End of Long Island. We teach and care for 100 children ages 6 months to 4 years old. We are licensed by the New York State Office of Child & Family Services (OCFS) and affiliated with the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
